im looking to buy a good computer but not a gaming computer because then im not allowed to buy it but can run some games on it. Basically which brand sells computers that you can still minimally game on but not a gaming computer?

I realize now, to be able to run The Witcher 2, I’m going to need a new computer. Since, I’m getting a game of The Witcher’s caliber I decided to go ahead and get a gaming computer. I usually get my computers from Dell, but a buddy of mine recommended CyberPower. So, in short, how reliable are CyberPower computers?

The game would be Starcraft 2, and it would be one of the ‘high preformance’ computers with an anthon quad core and 6gb of RAM but is there something better for the same or even less money?

see in the summer im hoping first month or so i should be able to buy a new laptop (i’ll have around 2000$ or more) and i was wondering in advance becuz i can’t wait what type of laptop will give me good gaming capabilities (i mostly play counter strike source, but i want more capabilities then just 1 game) with my current computer i can only have 1 game installed at a time so it kinda sucks anyway any info would be great thanks.

At first I was thinking of going with something basic and cheap like an emachine. I know there are better computers out there but they all cost alot more than I have to spend. I want something that I can game on and maybe surf the web. I wish I could spend a couple thousand on a top of the line machine but that’s not going to happen. Please, any ideas?

I need a used or refurbished laptop for my daughter. She as a game that she drives me crazy playing with and I nee my computer to work. She is only 18 months lol but is a pro at the comp hahahah. Any kind of laptop is ok thank you

I’m hoping for a computer that could run two applications of WoW at the same time without or with minimal lag. Currently, even without addons, my ,000 "gaming computer"(An Asus) takes 5 minutes to simply load the game. Also, it’d be great if the computer was under k.

I’m not good at price researching, so I thought I’d ask you guys. The game I’m wanting to run well on medium graphics at least is Fallout 3. Do you guys know how much a really good gaming computer would cost?

I need a computer that can run world of warcraft smoothly 50+ framerates all over the game. Any cheap computers that can do this. Please specify brand name and computer and its type and how many frames per second it get. Thanks!

my current acer has a battery that wont hold charged if you cna tell me how to fix other than a hundred dollar replacement will keep this one, i also feel i need to upgrade my storage capacity 20 gb just doesnt work for me, i have built in wi fi on this one and demand it on my next one currently the acer is a 2.6ghz with 256megs of ddr i am willing to downgrade as long as i get something that is fast online can run all my antivirus/firewall needs, main uses being running chat for friends family means also needs to be mic speaker and webcam capable and to hold massive amount of storage of things run lots of emulator games so doesnt need a fast processor but whatever speed needs the ram to match so it can do the chat and antivirus and game at same time and of course must be wifi capable and have dvd drive looking for something for less than the four hundred dollars this will cost to upgrade but will look at all suggestions for sites or personal sales

i’m looking for a good gaming computer that cost 00 or less
it doesn’t have to be the best but atleast strong enough to play todays game
ex: 4 shader, duo( atleast 2.5ghz) if single core 3ghz etc.

i checked best buy and alien ware but they were a bit pricey,unless u find me a cheap one, that will be helpfull

I am ready to buy a new notebook and I was wondering if anyone knows about Alienware and if their computers are the best? If anyone knows what other computers out there for major Game Playing, Awesome Graphics, And alot of Abilities for Creating, Storing, etc…..

12/05 we bought a Compaq Presario Pentium 4, on a salesman’s advice. This is no gaming computer: several Jedi Knight games won’t run well, nor will Oblivion even load, and tonight, Ice Age 2 quickly reaches a level where the creature is supposed to be traveling through an area that shows only a grey screen. I updated ActiveX after googling for ideas about the specific Ice Age problem. This did not fix the problem (we already had ActiveX 90c .)

What is wrong with/missing from the computer that it won’t play these games? Age of Empire/Civ III run just fine on the computer, but not Age of Mythology, although maybe it’s an expansion of that game that doesn’t work.

Can we buy something to add to the computer to make these games play or would that almost be as expensive as getting new computers? If getting another one is best, what computer specs would you recommend for being able to just load Oblivion/Ice Age 2 and go? Macs? Only PCs?
