I’m desperate to start making money and/or for something to do (I’m really bored).

I noticed a lot of the ‘gaming’ computers on ebay are incredibly over-priced, and the tech specs are twisted or manipulated to make the computer seem better. I can [and did] build a PC that can play GTA 4 at medium view distance (it’s capable of max, but FPS drops to 25 FPS constantly), max render quality & traffic density, at 1920×1080 (1080p) for about 0, including a genuine (not pirated or cracked) Windows 7 license and sales tax. I’d still make about dollars profit if I sold this computer for that price. This computer usually plays GTA 4 at 30 FPS but sometimes drops to 25 minimum. For about 0 more, it could play crysis pretty well. It already plays it around 25 average FPS at 1920×1080 (typical FPS is 30, but drops a bit on big environments), everything maxed. At 1280×720 (720p) it plays it all max-out at a healthy 60 FPS.

If I sold it without a windows license, like many computers on ebay do, and used cheaper parts (cheaper case, optical drive, etc), I could bring the price down to as low as 5 (including sales tax) and still make some money on it. This includes basic USB mouse & keyboard.

What you think about selling computers on ebay? Or about the price I’d be able to sell them for? I almost don’t really care how much money I’d make, as long as it’s something to do! The money made would be a bonus.

I thought about making gaming computers for people that dont know how or dosent want to mess with building there own. I dont know if theres like a million people already doing this but i want to sell them on ebay. Can someone give me advice in getting into this type of business?

This is a HP DV9500T, any ideas about "refubrished" thing, is it ok to buy such thing? Have anybody bought such thing? Do they work well? I found it on Ebay store.

i finally decided on getting myself a laptop (dell 1558) as my desktop is dying now lol.

is it worth me buying a refurbished 1558 from ebay with high specs as buying one new would mean getting specs an awful lot lower at a higher price. Also if a laptop is refurbished does this mean it is not new, has it been used by somebody and will the laptop still be in perfect working order?

I am trying to purchase an used desktop computer on Ebay and the owner is refering as a Gaming Computer. Is there any reaso why I shouldn’t have it as a regular desktop computer or would it be even better?

Not for music, or many pictures, just basic, home, internet use Laptop. Maybe like 1-2 GB of RAM and about 60 GB hard drive, very simple. I found one for 240 on EBay, seems reliable but I was wondering if anyone knew of any AUTHENTIC, reliable websites to buy used\refurbished laptops?

I am planning on buying a factory refurbished HP Dv7 laptop from ebay in the U.S will the 90 day HP refurbish warranty cover me in australia aswell?

I’ve bought a number of laptops in bulk, in there boxes ready for sale from a local computer store. I’ve listed on ebay and only sold one so far.

I would love to be able to suprise my daughter with her own laptop for christmas this year. However we don’t have a lot of money to spend at all and I know that laptops aren’t cheap. We’d just be looking for something that she could play games on and do word processing basically.
Any suggestions as far as pricing and where would be a good place to look? Also what would I need to look for in the laptop for it to be able to do the things I’d need it to do?
Yeah she would really just be playing educational games. How much do I need for the RAM etc.? I know nothing about this stuff. Thanks!

There’s so many different options! I don’t want to spend over 0.00 for a used (refurbished) laptop, but I want it to be fast & reliable. I don’t know much about brands like E-machines or Aspire, and I’m more comfortable with Dells, Gateways, Sonys (How, I wish!). Should I buy on Ebay? or is it more advisable to purchase at BestBuy, or a place similar that there’s more of a reliable seller.

i need a new laptop for school my current one has a nasty virus and im thinking about getting a mac… i found this cheap refurbished one online

I am currently trying to find a cheap laptop for myslef and i was wondering if there is any Websites out there that i can go to and find Nice Refurbished or used Laptop. (other than ebay) I have already checked ebay out and WHY even deal with them, they ask for the pirce u pay in the store.
So if you can i would really like to know if there is Website i can go to find some good deals on either (NEW, Refurbished, or used) Laptops.
