What are the best brands of computers for World of Warcraft gaming?
Just under a year ago I bought my current ASUS laptop, thinking it was a great gaming computer that I could use for World of Warcraft. It has been great the time that I’ve had it but unfortunately these past weeks I found I was wrong as WoW has almost completely burned out this laptop and everything has slowed down so much that it’s not even usable sometimes.
I’m looking into buying a new computer (a desktop this time) and I really have no clue about what brands are ideal for World of Warcraft and Sims gaming? I really only have about a 00 budget (maybe a little more), so I unfortunately can’t go buy those high-tech gaming computers that are around 00.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

What’s the best way to go when buying a new gaming computer?
It’s time to get a new gaming computer and I was wondering whether my best bet would be to buy all of the parts individually or to just buy a special premade gaming computer from newegg? My budget is in the 0-1000 range.

What is considered a good gaming computer?
My dad agreed to buy me a desktop to play games and probably study.I will download games like Maplestory,Counter-Strike,WoW,and GIMP.His budget is 800$ (anything cheaper would be great). So how many Ram,GB,etc… should the desktop have to be considered a good gaming a computer? It doesn’t have to be "good" as long as the games work on it and it runs decently its fine with me.So what kind of desktop you consider good or at least decent? What should it have?
Is a ASUS G51VX-RX05 refurbished laptop worth buying?
ASUS G51VX-RX05 has a really good graphic card (Nvidia GTX 460) but only the refurbished models are available for as cheap as 0. So are refurbished Asus laptops worth it?
I am going to grad school and I am on a budget. Since I will not be at home, I need a really powerful alternative to my xbox which can play all new games at respectable frames.

I'm looking for laptop under $350 for basic internet and MS office. What about a refurbished Toshiba Tecra M?
I’m in need of a cheap, but decent and sturdy, laptop under 0. There is a local former IT guy who sells refurbished business laptops. He has this Toshiba Tecra M1 (from ‘04) with following specs:INTEL PENTIUM MOBILE 1600MHz (1.6GHz), 80GB HDD, 1GB
DDR RAM, DVD+CDRW BUILT IN: WIRELESS/ETHERNET/MODEM/FIREWIRE/SD CARD READER/S.
Is it worth it? This would be my secondary system primary for just surfing the internet (wireless) and MS office stuff. I’m told that business machines are sturdier, more reliable w/ better components than new budget laptop I might find in this price range.
Can anyone offer their perspective?
What specific parts do i need for a decent gaming computer?
I’m not an extreme gamer who needs a 00 computer so I limited my budget to 00 and i understand the basic concept on how to build a computer. I also understand that certain parts may not work with others. Can anyone list recommended parts needed for a gaming computer, specifically FPS gaming. I know what parts are needed to build a computer itself, but i want a recommendation on specific gaming parts. A list would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Cheap gaming computers (preferably laptops)?
Can anyone find some cheap gaming computers (preferably laptops but will take desktop if nothing worthwhile comes up) that can handle games like Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 2 with no problems? I’m looking for something under 0 if at all possible but no more than 0. I really prefer the laptop for the ease of travel so that’s why it’s my preference but again, if nothing notable turns up then desktops will have to do.
I’ve noticed this Samsung laptop at Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+Laptop+with+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor+-+Black/Red/9728443.p?id=1218161511080&skuId=9728443) but don’t know if that’ll handle it or not. Also please provide links to the computers.
Thanks for any and all help!
I know I can’t expect much with a limited budget but I do want something that can handle games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 with at least the same speed as my 360. If that’s not possible then I guess I’ll settle for some good desktops still in the same price range.
Any good gaming computers at best buy?
*Sighs* I had thought I was going to build a gaming computer-But my mom just says ‘oh we will get whatever is on sale’ my brother says ‘why don’t you get the same computer I did. Building a computer is dangerous.’ Figures. I guess people just don’t trust 15 year olds to make decisions….And I was literally looking for hours at different parts…
*Sighs* Lol…
With that, no saying ‘try newegg.com’ because my mom only says its a last resort. She says building computers costs more, anyways.
Has everyone ever brought a gaming computer at best buy? Other stores like radio shack (do they even have computers) and Frys too.
And don’t say anything relating to the internet.
Lol! Exactly…Let me say how my mom got that mind set. My brother few months ago got 20000$ so he built a computer Randomly. The price somehow wound up to 4000…
Right now I have a good amount(for a 15 year old girl) of knowledge about processors and graphics cards…Because of days of researching all the best components and computers for my budget. Before I simply had no idea of all this stuff. Well…I guess I could try pointing out the difference in building an buying.
Built a computer @ best buy
High value gaming computers?
I’m looking for some high value gaming computers. Some thing that can play high end games like elder scrolls oblivion and battlefield two etc with high quality. You of course are going to be paying more for a gaming computer, but I’m not listing a budget since I recently found a computer meant for gaming with some items in it costing 0. This computer’s specs were around the same as one costing 00. So uh, not really listing any price ranges here. Looking for good quality but not something very high price range, any help with video cards and other compatibility would be appreciated
