Can I wipe Vista off my new refurbished Toshiba Satellite P205D Laptop and put XP? If so how?
The Laptop is GREAT!…But the Vista that’s installed is nothing but trouble…Some say that you have to pay to have the hard drive wiped…is this true or can I do it myself? If so how do I do it. If I can do it myself, I need the easy way… I’m just a regular guy, not a tech geek…Thanks in advance for the help, if there is any.
It would depend on whether or not the laptop has the drivers to support XP, not all computers that come with Vista installed can support XP.
You would have to check o the Toshiba web site to find out.
get your old copy of xp or go buy one and reformat your PC.
just pop in your xp CD when your PCs setting or on boot from CD
Toshiba comes with a CD that can wipe your hard drive out, but not your operating system.
If you want to change to XP you gotta buy a copy of XP.
Funny how most people want to convert to Vista and you want to downgrade to XP.
Remember, you can always set Vista to look like XP.
